NW Istria (Umag, Novigrad, Brtonigla, and Buje)
Days of Asparagus in NW Istria (March 21 to May 13): Opportunity to relish in imaginative, delicious and fragrant delicacies made from Istrian wild asparagus, ranging from the renowned “fritaja” (omelettes), soups, homemade pastas and risottos to ingenious combinations with meat and fish and scrumptious desserts. Restaurants throughout NW Istria are participating in this event.
Musical Easter in Novigrad (April 1): With a symbolic gift in the sweet scents and flavors of the most important Christian holiday, Novigrad will once again welcome guests on the streets of the old town center with traditional melodies and tones.
Asparagus Festival in Kastel (April 6 to 8): Since the asparagus has become a true symbol of Kastel, every year a varied cultural-entertainment, wine-gastronomic and sports program is prepared in its honor, attracting an increasing number of visitors.
Sweet Wine and Walk in Momjan (April 14): 7 km walk with four refreshment stops with a selection of wines by four famous Istrian wineries and delicious authentic Istrian delicacies, along with plenty of good music and dancing.
Asparagus Festival in Novigrad (April 29): The Asparagus Festival is the first in a series of gourmet events, part of this year’s Novigrad Gourmet Festival beginning in late April and running through to October. Each of these events focuses on one aspect of the local cuisine – the first event is dedicated to the wild asparagus.

Presentation of Wines in Gracisce (April 2): Exhibition of wines of Central Istria, proclamation of best wines, whole day wine tasting in typical restaurants of Gracisce with evening entertainment program.
Easter in Porec (March 30 to April 2): Traditionally, sweet aromas and tastes of Easter, the biggest religious holiday, welcome Porec visitors at the main town square during the Easter weekend.
